Health officers Discover Loads Of Expired Ice Cream In Port Harcourt During Inspection
Environmental Health Officers attached to Port Harcourt City Local Government Area have evacuated and disposed a pick up load of expired ice cream discovered in the cold room of a food and beverage company in Port Harcourt.
The team led by the State President of the Environmental Health Officers Association Of Nigerian (EHOAN), MR. REUBEN NWECHENU said the ice cream which expired since 2014 was discovered following a tip off.
The president of Environmental Health Officers in Rivers State said the action was taken to prevent unsuspecting public from purchasing the expired ice cream for consumption.
The President of Environmental Health Officers in Rivers state Rueben Nwechenu said management of the food company located on Azikiwe Road in port Harcourt will be sanctioned for allegedly selling expired food items to the public.
