The Acting Provost of Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology, Port Harcourt, Dr. Nnamdi Amadi, has been relieved of his duties yesterday,  having served the pioneer health institution meritoriously and due for retirement.

The Rivers State Commissioner of Health, Dr. Theophilus Odagme, who led the State Government delegation to the College announced the appointment of Mr. Kingsley Okpara as the new Acting Provost. The announcement came after an elaborate meeting with top management and staffs of the institution.

It will be recalled that Mr. Okpara was the former Deputy Provost and was one time Director School of Medical Laboratory Technology. He had equally served the pioneer health institution in several other capacities.

Reactions thrilling his appointment strike a new lease of hope and optimism of a brighter future which might bring immense benefits to the College community in particular and the State in general, giving his outstanding managerial pedigree and reputation.
