It is no longer news that the former Provost of Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology, Dr. Charles Amadi has journeyed to eternity. But Environmentalists, EHOs and well-wishers had longed been waiting to have a glimpse of what transpired in the funeral ceremony.
In a nutshell, dignitaries from all walks of life gathered on 12th February at Akwa village in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State and gave a final farewell to late Dr. Charles Amadi. The funeral was attended by EHOs, including the former Registrar of WAHEB Mr. Osuala. One of the most colorful parts of the event is the Environmental Health Officers’ parade after the church service.
We will recalled that Dr. Charles Amadi was a distinguished Scholar, great Teacher, renowned epidemiologist, prolific author and environmental Health Officer of transcendent genius. He was a KNIGHT. He was the Second Provost of Rivers State College of Health Science and Technology Port Harcourt (RSCHST). Dr Charles had equally served as Head of Department of Environmental Health Technology. He had contributed immensely to growth of Research and Development of the Primary Health Care Sector in Nigeria. He is a Fellow of Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria (EHOAN) and a CERPMIST Certified Trainer. He had published books.
